Inadvertent Slurring; Medical or Unintentional:  Against God, an Abomination!

To slur your speech due to mental problems is one thing; to use intentional slurring against God becomes unacceptable in any form of life.  There may certainly be some who turn their heads by asking themselves how we could use slurring to invoke the grace of God in an unacceptable manner?

The very use of ignoring God’s generosity is one very prominent attitude humans grasp as a way of taking God for granted.  Again, a direct absence of being in touch with the grace that God constantly hands to us through our faith is perhaps the most insolent manner to make the blessings from the Lord become like a passing wind that comes from somewhere and passes by our understanding of what grace is all about.  

Winds that bring forgiveness for the very sinfulness human beings seem to hold onto are real and come through the Holy Spirit without letting up.  In Genesis, we read; “the earth was a formless abyss, while a mighty wind swept over the waters.”  (Gn 1: 2).  This wind is the Holy Spirit that touched the earth eons ago and still sweeps through our very existence with words and works that touch the very minds and souls of every human being.  This is why the slurring against God is from the creation of man that just looks at the wind that seems to pass us by because we are not expecting it to touch our hearts with grace.

When we sin our need becomes the essence of the Passion of Christ to bring mercy upon us.  But when any of us slurs the presence of Almighty God it becomes a direct slap at the Cross that held our forgiveness through the God-Man of Christ.  This is unacceptable and must be made holy once again as the wind of forgiveness stops on each soul and waits for our admittance of sorrow.  

That is the same as the tax-collector and Pharisee in the temple when the tax-collector beat his breast without lifting his eyes to God and saying;  “O God, be merciful to me sinner.”  I tell you the latter went home justified.  (Lk 18: 13 - 14).  This is what the wind of the Holy Spirit is all about.

In a world that has gone after everything and anyone that has ejected the Presence of God when all of us are at a closed door to the Mercy of God and keep pushing that gate closed so as not to allow his Name to be heard in the halls of empty proliferation that says “He doesn’t exist anymore” will reap the sudden sign of nothing can save me now since my god is my selfishness.

This is a slur against God and our salvation is now out of our hand.
