Twas a day that God created humanity and we said No to adherence!

Think back just several years when our children responded with the same attitude of disobedience and we wondered what happened to our gentle but stern authority.  Was there some glitch in God’s plan to share an eternity with his creatures that slipped through the midst of his love?  Is there a similar scenario that has affected our own children we might have forgotten?  

First God cannot make mistakes since he is Omnipresent to all eternity.  Our own parental authority is also very present with the attempt to raise our offspring in a Godly manner and pray that they will learn what obedience means in a spiritual fashion.  

Of course the one gift that God included with our creation is Free Will.  Without this blessed treasure we could never seek or understand what holiness is about and would just by-pass the desire to find God in spite of what sin can and does interfere with the quest to live with Almighty God through the Holy Trinity forever.

God instilled this free-will reality within us so that our complete knowledge of eternal life would make a lasting impression upon the finite mind of man that struggles to place who God is and what he has shown to us through the Passion of his Son for forgiveness.  He also gave the same grace to the angels and because of pride with Lucifer (the most beautiful Arch-angel) that he insisted he was the same as God and was thrown out of heaven by Michael the Arch-angel along with other angels who believed that they could stand against God.  

We have the grace through our faith that because of Christ’s Passion at Calvary the probability 

Of reaching eternal life with God is guaranteed.  The angels who fought against God will not be forgiven!

Think for a moment the saints and martyrs who gave their lives and souls for the love of God knew that eternal life is the most precious entity we are given and their undying quest to live and die for Christ is the most glorious attitude a human can reach for and win the crown of holiness.  As each of us may ponder what a holy life is all about reflect on the forgiveness we must give to anyone that has hurt us since that is just what Christ did when he willingly allowed the soldiers and Pharisees to glean pleasure while nailing his body to the Cross of Forgiveness.

Freedom is the power, rooted in reason and will, to act or not to act, to do this or that, and so to perform deliberate actions on one’s own responsibility.  By free will one shapes one’s own life.  Human freedom 9s a force for growth and maturity in truth and goodness; it attains its perfection when directed toward God, our beatitude.  (CCC 1731).

The grace of Christ is not in the slightest way a rival of our freedom when this freedom accords with the sense of the true and the good that God has put in the human heart.  On the contrary, as Christian experience attests especially in prayer, the more docile we are to the promptings of grace, the more we grow in inner freedom and confidence during trials, such as those we face in the pressures and constraints of the outer world.  By the working of grace the Holy Spirit educates us in spiritual freedom in order to make us free collaborators in his work in the Church and in the world.  (CCC 1742).
