September 2026 Feast Days and Sunday Readings

The ninth month of the year will bring about many changes. For children, they will soon be returning to the classroom for another school year. It also marks the beginning of the third quarter of the year.

Additionally, we will be saying farewell to summer and make way to fall. We can only hope that the weather will cooperate with many lovers of the season that brings about the cool crisp air of change after the heatwaves many endures from the summer.

September is the month dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows. We remember all parents who have daily sorrows of children who have gone astray from the faith, carry heavy crosses due to physical mental or social circumstances. The pope’s intention for September is for all to have greater care for water.

September, like all the months, have great feast days in store. It also is the month for those who took part in St. Michael’s Lent to celebrate Michaelmas.  With that, here is a breakdown of the feasts for September.
