Ministry; finding time for leisure during our preaching.
When temptation comes into our presence there is only one thing needed:
Deep intensive prayer with the attention to the Sacred Heart of Jesus where the sense of purity we have to St. Maria Faustina Kowalski of the Blessed Sacrament. Jesus appeared to Saint Faustina on February 22, 1931 entrusting her with a simple yet powerful message: that his mercy is greater than any sin, and it is freely offered to every heart that turns toward him.
The promises of the Sacred Heart of Jesus are far reaching and without them we might become lost in the deep threats of losing our soul. To St. Margaret Alocoque Jesus promised twelve; I will list just a couple that for this writing touched me and should have an effect on all reading this. I. I will give all the graces necessary for their state of life . 2. Sinners shall find in My Heart the source and infinite ocean of mercy. 3. Tepid souls shall become fervent.
Temptations are always the weapons of demons and their subtleness is so quiet that the silence of evil cannot be recognized until we have fallen prey to whatever our weakness is our failure at any time of the day or night. This is why we must hang onto the blessings that we have through the Sacred Heart and keep them always before our sense of gratitude our Lord gave to Saints Margaret Mary Aloque and Maria Faustina.
As I mentioned before that I became a night adorer to the Sacred Heart more than ten years before being ordained to the Permanent Diaconate and have never left adoration to the same to slip away from me. And more than once I have found need to reach out as I am not free from temptation any more than anyone else.
There are so many prayers composed to the Sacred Heart that finding one that might become our favorite. While still in the early years of my own relationship with his Heart I composed one of my own. Let me print it here that someone may like it or at least allow me the opportunity to print it.
O Most Sacred Heart of Jesus,
I love you,
I adore you, I worship you;
Please come into my heart and stay with me forever.
For my need is your mercy,
My desire is you Will,
My hope is you Passion, My food for faith, your most heavenly graces.
All that I receive from you is meaning for existence, reason for living, courage to face death when it beckons.
This very day do I consecrate my whole being, mind and soul to your Most Sacred Heart.
