HAS THE ANTI-CHRIST ARRIVED YET?

How Might We Recognize Him?

Eileen Renders

Due to the world conditions of today, we may wonder: Is the Antichrist here now, and among us? If he is, how will we recognize him, we may wonder. To begin with, we know that Satan is a liar and seeks to deceive us so that we might follow him. The Antichrist desires to mislead us by making promises he will not deliver; he will project a demeanor that draws many to him.

There will be wars, violence, and many deaths, yet he will be focused on asserting his power and dominance, as he is here to attempt to overtake Christ’s work and love to save us from sin. Behind closed doors, he will practice gaining statues, signs, and whatever he can to attract millions to support him and trust him.

He will even pretend to worship Christ to falsely present himself as an honest man, yet he has no respect for the poor, the uneducated, or people not of his belief.  He will threaten people in positions of high authority, and people will begin to fear him. He will have no respect for children or the elderly, and care not who is hungry or homeless. His appetite for power will drive him toward threatening surrounding countries, and threaten them. The Antichrist will appear to be a person who only wishes to speak with people who look up to him and agree with him. He, of course, will have no respect for honesty, religion, or answering to anyone.

God never revealed to us who the antichrist will be, but we do know that he is coming to challenge Christ Himself by destroying the hearts, faith, and decency of as many of God’s creatures as he possibly can. The world will begin to feel the effect of this Antichrist, and all of those who either believe in him or fear his many threats.

How do we save ourselves and remain faithful to our one and only Creator, God? Pray the rosary every day, frequent the sacraments, and remain free of sin. The world itself is telling us that we are in a time when we do not know if or when this world might end. Could someone (the Antichrist) who fears death himself, might hit that nuclear button to take everyone with him?
