Judgment of the Heart
It seems like since Donald Trump won the election, and now has taken office, the people in our nation have lost their minds! It is crazy to watch people in our nation behave in such atrocious ways. I don’t understand it at all. Well, maybe that isn’t quite true, maybe I do, to a certain degree.
There is a lot of noise, and the Devil seems to turn up the volume when he is losing. Why? So we can’t hear God in the still and quiet.
Satan has been working on this country for quite some time and has made impressive ground over the past 50 years. He is desperate and luring people into fits of the same type of despair and hopelessness that is his state of existence. He knows that the battle has been already been won, but he is very satisfied to take as many people into the abyss of Hell as he can. He knows the loss of souls hurts God, our Father very much.
Here are two fronts where he is winning, that I see as most interesting and dangerous for all of us, who don’t just define ourselves as Christians but take the role seriously and try to live as one.
God has, throughout Salvations history, demonstrated His Faithfulness and Love in a steadfast and honorable way. He warns us of perils constantly in Scripture.The remedy for our lives and for our nation is very simple, Trust God and his Word!!!
God delivered Daniel from the Lion’s den and Jonah from the Whale’s belly. He delivered his people from bondage time after time. It is much easier for God to rescue us from our physical bondage, then our spiritual one. We must ourselves up to his, our whole beings for that kind of Spiritual Healing. Our human nature causes us to constantly fall into sin, this is not new. We live in a world of the flesh, lust, greed, and apostasy.
Ephesians 6:12; “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world’s darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
Remember, God is in charge, and permits everything that happens on this Earth, because he can mold it for his own purposes, which are much bigger and mightier than ours. We become victims of our own free will. As Christians, we must trust him and not succumb to despair and hopelessness. Nothing that happens here in this world warrants a lack of God’s joy in our hearts.
Psalm 112;“A just man is a light in darkness”. We can be that “just man”. It can be any of us, not just those in leadership or power.
The message is urgent. We must change our ways. We shouldn’t be like Jonah, who sulked when God forgave and showed Mercy to the peoples of Nineveh. The Jonah who wanted revenge and wrath. The faithful brother in the story of the Prodigal son was the same, very hurt and disappointed when his father welcomes home his lost brother. There are many ways to veer off course with God. WE MUST NOT fall into these traps. We must be constantly praying for our own souls as well as everyone else’s. We must rally to recover the lost, and help in the restoration of all salvation. We must forgive the people who trespass against us, because God forgives us who trespass against him. We must pray for the conversion of every heart and spirit, no matter the race, creed, religion, or political party affiliation.
Also, we must have faith in God, and not in the “system’ or a political leader, or anything that is earthly and not of divine nature.St. Faustina’s message, “Jesus, I trust in you” must be our fight song and our rallying cry.
Daniel 2:20-23 –
20 “Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever;
wisdom and power are his.
21 He changes times and seasons;
he deposes kings and raises up others.
He gives wisdom to the wise
and knowledge to the discerning.
22 He reveals deep and hidden things;
he knows what lies in darkness,
and light dwells with him.
23 I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors:
You have given me wisdom and power,
you have made known to me what we asked of you,
you have made known to us the dream of the king.”
Don’t give up on your struggle. We all struggle with evil and sin. We are all works in progress..We won’t reach the goal on our own! The Heavens and the Earth will come to pass whether we like it or not, so all of us, might as well get on board! Those of us who know and love God understand, though incompletely, what a wonderful existence and promise awaits us. Many people are falling away and rejecting that Divine realm. Our witness in the midst of the noise and chaos might just be the way to their salvation, as well as our own.We can all be witnesses for the Faith in our own particular ways. We must stand firm in Truth no matter how unpopular it may become.Evangelization requires sacrifice and persecution, but we can find courage with God’s Grace.
There is one Psalm that captures the spirit that any true believer should behold, possess, and strive for.
Psalm 46:10
10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”
The fight is real and difficult, but we already know the victory is His. God reigns! Let us help Him fill Heaven with as many souls as possible, and quiet the noise that so confuses and incites damnation.
