St Patrick
Saint Therese of Lisieux, is noted for her roses sent from Heaven. White, red, yellow, pink. A shower of a bouquet or maybe just one single rose. Either way, if you've been praying to her, for a special intention, she will answer one way or another. Sometimes the scent of roses can flood the air or maybe just a petal on the ground and as you look around, you see none other than that just one.
Our Little Flower Therese, loves to send them. She rises to the occasion with a rose. She promised she would! She sends them down from the garden to which she tends in Heaven. A never ending supply, that if it be the Will of God, she is allowed to send to us in her exclamation of a Love for God, whom she loved with all of her heart here on Earth and now she loves Him in Heaven. The same goes with her love for our Mother Mary. The tenderness and submission she gave to them when alive was so exemplary here, as she became a Doctor of the Church. Her main subject being, "how to Love God and suffer lovingly". She's relatable. She was feisty when young and raised a ruckus when she didn't get her way. She went through many family trials and since the Love that was taught by a faithful and patient upbringing from a strong unit of direction to God, with her own parents, Zellie and Louis, becoming Saints themselves, she survived many a heartache. She was able to feel the Love Jesus and Mary had for her, through them. Her daddy taught her love of nature, and her mama taught her, well, taught her " Love". Together they produced loving children whose True Love for God shown, as they all came to be Carmelite nuns. One also becoming a Visitandine, in the Order of the Visitation. That beloved sister being Leonie.
Today, it is our "Little Flower''s" feast day, and we remember her with the "roses" of "our" Love. With gratefulness for loving us and loving God by showing us the way. Her "little way", that can lead us to our own garden, that lies waiting for us in Heaven.
