Read the Bible

I have never really sat down to read the Bible. I have heard the readings at mass, or even in class. I have seen the verses on signs, shirts and in many other forms. Yet, I have never really sat down, Bible in hand read. This is something that I am hoping to change. Bible verses are short. Even if we read only one a day that is still progress. The Bible after all is not meant to be speed read but rather read, discussed and reflected upon. I am making it a goal to spend more time reading the Bible because the words inside might be just what I am looking for.
