St Patrick
There's a circus in town. There's one in every town. It's the circus between good and evil. St Paul was right when he said that the battle, "the circus ", would be between principalities and powers, against the rulers of darkness. Not against flesh and blood. It is becoming "the greatest show on Earth", or should I say, "showdown", that has been happening since the beginning of time. As man has evoluted into what has become evident with all of the technology into this so-called "solving" stage of AI, we find ourselves, once again at a new level. A new question, a new choice. It says nothing about the "armor of God". That which Saint Paul preached that we must put on to help save ourselves from the evils of this new struggle, really this old struggle. It only claims to have solutions to getting older, to keeping that young face, to provide easiness in coping, to save the world. Reality is, this world is fading away. It is "not" the real world. Us humans want to evade suffering. We want to hide from reality. But truth is, we cannot. We will all die. Prolonging or making a determination of this fact, to me, is just plain ignorance. Humans want to become gods and that is in one word "Idiocracy". Something is pulling the world to believe in foolishness and ignorance. It is these forces of evil spirits that are doing it, and we would fare better to ignore them and stay firm with what we already know is the "truth". That being God. The real Creator of all things. Not letting our free will, entice us to do or believe that which is not real. Meritocracy, where leadership and power are vested in people based on ability, talent and intelligence, such as the Saints and great prophets like Mother Teresa and Archbishop Fulton Sheen, have proven time and time again to be credible teachers of the True Way. They preach on struggle and suffering and true Salvation. Not candy coating illness or trial with but only the relief of Prayer and Trust in the God that is all good and will never leave us. One does not achieve a crown of Glory by simple deeds. It must be proven by strength and power against the enemy. We must not allow ourselves to become "clowns in the circus". We must walk on the trapeze of life with courage and trust, that if we should fall, the Holy net that catches us will be our God's Holy hands.
It's fun going to the circus, but only as a spectator. I will not deny the thrill I have gotten from watching the high wire acts. Or watching the lion tamer tame those wild animals. The circus that we have attended in a tent, is likened to the participation in the real "circus of life". Only the circus of life, can lead us to crying instead of laughing. Fearful instead of trusting. Wanting to run instead of fighting. We must put on that armor and stand firm against powers and principalities of this "circus world". We must not become the clowns the evil one wants to turn us into. That way, the circus can move away, and the real parade of Heaven can dominate and fill us with "real Joy".
