Typical spider silk, of which cobwebs are composed, is stronger than steel of the same thickness. Yet a single strand of the webbing, if it were long enough to stretch all the way around the world, would weigh less than a pound.
For some things, a little goes a long way, like the microscopic portions of trace minerals such as phosphorus or magnesium, that we needed to maintain cardiovascular health. A little virtue in a God-focused person goes a long way, too, for the Lord is "able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work" (2 Cor 9:8).
Our God is a God of the hundredfold, whose return to us far exceeds the little we give him. He promises that "a good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap" (Lk 6:38). Paul reminds us that the Lord "is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us" (Eph 3:20).
A simple act of love of God, an interior act of humility, a tiny effort to be patient, a love-motivated act of courtesy will cause him to tug you close to his heart and grace-kiss your soul. As the old hair cream commercial put it "A li'l dab'll do ya!"
