A Serious Question?
Imagine your child, whom you love and trust not to tell lies, because you brought him up that way; one day tells you that he has seen a vision of Jesus in the park.
Do you ignore him and put it down to children’s imagination? Do you tell him not to tell lies? Do you instruct him not to repeat such stories to anyone else? Or do you believe him?
These questions were the inspiration for writing my first book “Visions”.
“VISIONS” is a fictional story of three children who see an apparition of the Lord Jesus and He gives them a message for their parish priest. They tell their priest, Father Ignatius, about it, and pretty soon news spreads throughout town.
People react to the news in different ways. Some readily believe; others mock and scoff in disbelief, whilst some react violently towards the children and their families.
Parishioners seek guidance from Father Ignatius who has a crisis of Faith. He has known the children all their lives and he is convinced that they do not lie. But yet, he doubts that Jesus really appeared in the park with a message for him.
In the meantime the Church seeks to hush the whole story in the hope that it goes away. The Bishop and his advisors consider the whole story to be bad publicity for the Church and they want nothing to do with it.
What is Jesus’ message to Father Ignatius and to the whole world? How does it affect you – the reader?
“VISIONS” challenges readers to ask what they would do in a similar situation – as Christians, as parents or just as onlookers. It also challenges them to reconsider their beliefs and their Faith and re-affirm to themselves what is it exactly that they believe; without any doubt and hesitation.
“VISIONS” is the first book in a series featuring Father Ignatius and it is available in paperback and Kindle version. Other books are available FREE in PDF format from the author’s website and also in paperback and Kindle versions from AMAZON.
