Eucharistic Poem: Open Your Hands

Open your hands.
Dirty as they may be. Leave your stains, sins and brokenness at the altar.
Open your hands.
Worn thin from labor and toil. Come to Me all who are burdened and need rest.
Open your hands.
Trembling fingers. You who fear and are anxious with the cares of the world.
Open your hands.
Small and innocent like a child. Let the children come to Me.
Open your hands.
Frail from aging and illness. Come for healing and restoration.
Open your hands.
The lost and forsaken. I’ll take your hand and guide you along the straight and narrow path.
Open your hands.
Take and receive Jesus.
The source of our salvation.
The source of our rest.
The source of our peace.
The source of our restoration.
The source of our healing.
The source of our life’s direction.
By His Body and Blood, He is in us, for us, with us, among us.
So open your hands.
