What? Wait—What Did You Say?
It is Tuesday, April 02, 2013, and one very interesting day. Some very strong obviously God’s watching, situations occured that left me feeling deeply loved and protected.
It started out with a trip to see Bob’s pain Doctor for his right leg has been hurting really bad with sciatica type pain. From there we were given the choice to go and get an epidural to help with the pain, something that would be 6 hours later across town.
During that period of time in the course of daily type conversation, physical pain collided with inner unresolved ‘hurts’ and three different times fights flared up between us. The last one brought us precariously close to Bob hitting a car and maybe even killing the driver as we crossed a four lane divided street. (“Thank You God for the protection.”)
Later, after coming home from his procedure, I shared with Bob how the Holy Spirit led me to get the book God had me write from the car to read while I waited for him. I did and laughed when it opened to Chapter 11 and it tells of how we were fighting back then and what message God gave then after I prayed for help. The message--“I did not work so long and hard on healing your marriage to allow it to be torn apart now. Recognize who is trying to stop My plans from being fulfilled. Recognize now that you are drawing closer to the fulfillment of this plan that has been carefully designed. Rejoice in the knowledge that you are a threat and this is why the battle continues to rage. Trust in Me to bring you through what you have been called to do.” (From the book, "My Journey, My Cross--as the Journals End)
Bob and I both agreed that once more, something wonderful was coming into our life for we were either being led into a boot camp to test our faith and obedience, or just make the devil mad. I give God the credit, for in His awesome wisdom, He allows us to experience troubles so we use those muscles of faith. Do as you are told, pray and love as you are told and miracles happen! Sometimes so small, you need to look closely to see God’s Hand on a situation.
I ask that you keep us in your prayers especially for protection, for after today’s close event, we will need that special supporting surrounding love. In Sirach I think, there is a line that says “when you come to serve the Lord prepare yourselves for trials.” All of you can say a big AMEN to that from your own experiences. Love from us both.
