Mary Leora's Story
In the past two weeks, while dealing with slow recovery process, and also praying for wisdom; I have received two specific messages that I KNOW you might want to hear too.
Why was I seeking His Word to begin with? Number one problem I chose to bring into my life was going into “tomorrow” when God said two months ago---“Watch, Wait, and Pray for My Move to come into YOUR LIFE!”
We have the house up for sell and if it sells, we had planned to buy a pull trailer and live in more quieter isolated places, and eventually perhaps in a family’s side yard so they can help us if need be. The problem arose when my husband said “Look at this trailer for sale, it has everything we want.” He has jumped the gun before and to make his input feel needed, I have said we will check it out. This has got us into trouble several times---trying to please him and not listening to the God’s wisdom.
Back to the message----I am starting to stress over checking out the trailer, my new career in the teaching field and the poor results of a surgery. So---when heavily burdened---to God we should turn.
First message—-came with the inner Voice, we all should know well, as I drove to Mass seeking God in prayer--. “Plow the field that you are in.” Simple ---stay focused on the job at hand and not be looking at other ‘fields’ or tomorrow or yesterday---stay one minded and steadfast in trust in God’s plan.
At church, I picked up the Misselette for Ordinary Time. Page 77 comes to my mind. It opens to October 31st reading---telling us to be Imitators of Christ, to draw others to God, until the day the Lord returns again. Then the Gospel—asks the question which is the Greatest Commandment, which we all should know: Love God first, and our neighbor as our self. When we do that, we will enter into the Kingdom of God.
Next page from November 1st is from Revelation Chapter 7 and John’s vision of those sealed and the triumph of the elect, a countless number wearing robes and holding palm branches. (This last part will connect to the message received a week later.)
To confirm that God was speaking to me through the Readings of October 31st this year---when Father read the Gospel for today’s Mass, and it was the exact same Word just read from page 77---“What is the greatest commandment?,” Jesus asks. "Love God above all things and your neighbor as yourself.” Boom—“mike drop!”
I know that God was telling me to stay focused on serving the Lord and keeping His commandments until He comes again. I feel deeply that He is telling me---“Yes, I am coming soon.” (In making any long term decisions, we have always said let us wait to see what happens this summer as we celebrate the 100 year anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima’s appearances—for I wonder if there is a connection to our world today.)
We also need to remember this fact or TRUTH! The Kingdom of God is at HAND! Jesus spoke this when He started His ministry and teaching all who would listen.
To live in His Kingdom now—it means to Love God above all things and our neighbor as our self. It also means to Love as I have loved you—His last commandment given to the apostles and us. When we live these words also, “Thy Will be done"—His Kingdom comes into our life. Daily we are given that Bread of Life—Jesus our Lord—IF we choose to have Him as King over all our life. Jesus is here now every moment if we choose to see Him in ourselves and others and all of nature, and in every situation and struggle.
He definitely is coming but when we open our eyes—He is here and the Kingdom of God is all around us too.
To be continued with Message #2 given a week later. Remember those palm branches.
