Just What Are We Facing NEXT?
So quickly time flies –we get distracted and too busy—but at some point, a whisper comes and we remember---God is ever present in our life, but more importantly wants to be an ACTIVE PART of our life!
Today’s first reading today at Mass helped me to realize—part 2 of God’s Message had yet to be put down. From Isaiah 55: 10-11
Thus says the LORD:
Just as from the heavens
the rain and snow come down
and do not return there
till they have watered the earth,
making it fertile and fruitful,
giving seed to the one who sows
and bread to the one who eats,
so shall My Word be
that goes forth from My mouth;
My Word shall not return to Me void,
but shall do My Will,
achieving the end for which I sent it.
The Messages given to my heart well over a month ago now was strictly by His Word sent in the Missalette found in the pew. If you remember from the last blog, I was given the number 77 to look up in the Missalette that day.
About a week later before Mass began; I again reached out for the Missalette, asking God if He wanted to speak to my heart. The number 44 came into my mind, but also the words—pick up the song book too and look in both books.
When reading first from the Missalette, found that it opened to Palm Sunday and Jesus coming into Jerusalem with the people waving the palm branches. (Remember the connection from the Revelation reading?) Today though when double checking my Scriptures---found to my dismay that the Missalettes had been changed out in June. It did not matter---for today, page 44 opened to John 3:16 :
”For God so loved the world that He gave* His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him might not perish but might have eternal life.k 17For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn* the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.l 18Whoever believes in Him will not be condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because He has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.”
Number 44 in the song book was “A Voice Cries Out,” words which were taken from Isaiah 40 which describes the coming of the Messiah. You can listen to this song on youtube https://video.search.yahoo.com/yhs/search?fr=yhs-avast-001&hsimp=yhs-001&hspart=avast&p=a+voice+cries+out+song#id=2&vid=c939dcc38bfcbaef4f3179702858ba15&action=click
The messages being sent were still lining up----Jesus Coming into the World, then, now and soon once AGAIN!!
And God continues the message yet, after the John 3:16 Gospel---the Feast of Corpus Christi is found. We are to remember, the Messiah came and before He left He gave us His Body and Blood! "Do this in remembrance of Me," He said this so that His Presence would ever be with us, to be received daily if we want! His true Presence is found in the Eucharist in every Catholic Church all over the world. Either at Mass, or attending a hour of Adoration---we are in the Presence of Jesus here NOW.
Part 1 of His Message also reminded us that until the time of His second coming, when we live in love, when we love, when we obey, when we imitate the life and actions of Jesus Christ---we are living in His Kingdom now, and see Jesus in everyone, and in our life.
As we wait and prepare for that second coming of Christ---to comfort us, God is saying “ Do not let your hearts be troubled by this world you see, yes I am coming back soon, but until then---“Watch, Wait, Pray, Trust and obey---and Plow that field you are in.”
Perhaps we need to stop tuning into the world and tune in more to that Voice of God—always present and always ready to speak to us if we listen. He is waiting.
"Comfort, give comfort to my people, says your God."
