Saint Teresa of Calcutta's daily prayer
Raising children to be strong and secure adults is the goal of every family. Therefore, families that share at least one meal together each day give their children a strong sense of security. As a result, children are stronger and more self-confident in the outside world. In her newest book, "Feeding Your Family's Soul", Donna-Marie gives parents the tools to help achieve this goal. In this gem of a cookbook/prayer-book/Inspirational book are easy to find ideas and delicious recipes to enjoy. Here are some of the recipes our family enjoys: Chicken Sausage Gumbo, Taco soup, and Irish Soda Bread. Also, Donna-Marie shares activity suggestions for parents related to saints, the seasons of the year, sacraments, and more. Most importantly, these suggestions and reflections help families have a more enjoyable meal time.
Families are always in a hurry these days. In the hustle of everyday life, things like togetherness and quality time seem to have no place in a family's daily life. Donna-Marie urges our families back to those slower days with grace, love, and delicious meals. I especially enjoyed seeing the recipes since I'm a recipe junkie, but the prayers and reflections are genuine and peaceful. With so much angst in our world, families need a place where we can come together and rejuvenate.
Therefore, I thoroughly recommend this book to families with young children. Grandparents, also, would benefit from having this book as a gift to their children.
Finally, thank you to Donna-Marie and Paraclete Publishing for the books, it has been a pleasure to review. They were generous enough to send me an extra copy, of which I will give away to one lucky winner! Leave a comment below and tell me a little about your family! I'll draw a lucky winner on October 1st!!
