At Our Cross, We Receive!
The Valley of Whatever that comes my way—I shall not fear for Thou art with me.
The Valley of water, floods, fire, and wind storms are just as fearful as death itself. The valleys of doubt, despair, uncertainty, and the unknown ----we wander into these too---but let us not fear.
Let me remember all that You have done for me in my life, and let me give thanks and praise for all You will be doing too. Your promises - I hope for, Your plans - I will trust in. Your love for me is everlasting, all merciful, and Your goodness overflows into my life forever as I dwell In Your Presence all the days of my life.
Yes, I will walk through many valleys as I travel the journey of life. I will be in fires, bellies of whales, lions dens, darkness, times of nothing and times of everything. Times of everything too can be a time of valley, for sometimes too much is too much and not good for the body or soul.
Yea though I walk through any valley---Lord hold me tight and cling to me as I cling to You. Use your staff as a source of comfort and not as way to reprimand or discipline. But wait, sometimes that is what is needed to get my full attention—a slight tap on the shoulder to turn me back to right paths for Your name sake. You, oh Lord, are indeed my Shepherd, and I thank You for never letting me out of Your sight. What a Good God you are, always and evermore---a Mighty, Good God ---none other like You. Holy, Holy, Holy is Your Name.
“The I Am is with you always and forever holds you in His arms.”
