How are you today?
One hundred years have passed since Mary did appear in Fatima,
Seen by three prayerful children and seventy thousand spectators.
Rain dampened spirits; belief waned to twilight, the edge of darkness;
Yet, Fatima created many living lights in a world of upheaval.
Mary’s power is revealed in the spinning of the sun.
Like a giant wheel thrusting down itself, its
Fire and fury radiating spokes of light, mightily, as if to burn.
Perhaps it is to scorch earth into eternal annihilation.
Stilled, the sun's orb abates; its rays warm unbelievers;
Souls become enlightened; their hearts are galvanized.
“We are witnessing a miracle from above”, they claim.
“To acknowledge one’s dark sin is necessary,” Mary says, “and, each one must repent.”
Mary’s rosary in her hands beg men to grasp its power-
“Genuflect; kneel down, surrender man’s pride.”
With Christ’s life and passion thus to ponder, the rosary will
Light up frail flames of faith, and propel man to loving action.
God alone is the super sun, the uncreated light.
Christ’s words of truth shine brightly throughout the land.
Light and love ever available to all men seeking Him-
Saving grace can be beamed deep into man’s heart and will.
Man’s hope is to live within God’s circle of light-
Where peace, security are fruits which blossom bright
Upon a world, solar fed, not mired in nuclear dread.
It is a choice, a miracle to love, to which each man must commit.
