On Pope Francis' favourite words, "Joy and Mercy"...
The Female Satanic Deity That Will Lead You To Anything But A Holy Death
Pictured similarly to our Blessed Mother, the Most Holy Virgin Mary, because of the veil, Santa Muerte is a mockery and the total opposite. Literally translated as “Saint Death” or more commonly known as “our Lady of the Holy Death”, this fake “saint” has been dangerously accredited to demonic activity in the lives of many.
An article last year (https://www.catholicnewsagency.com/news/have-you-heard-of-saint-death-dont-pray-to-her-38884) claimed that the last 10-15 years have seen an epic rise in devotion to this demonic deity, estimating a whopping 10-12 million devotees, the majority coming from Mexico, but also with many from US and Central America.
The Vatican issued an official statement condemning the devotion (https://www.aciprensa.com/noticias/autoridad-vaticana-advierte-que-santa-muerte-es-culto-infernal-82773), saying it was the equivalent of celebrating devastation and hell.
The female “deity” (more like idol worship, if you ask me), has been said to “intercede” for people, especially drug lords, outcasts, and convicts for all things unholy – wealth, power, good fortune, and the like. The attraction being that she's "marketed" as the "saint" who doesn't judge but grants requests, even the unholy, it seems. The shocking thing is, “cultural Catholics” who don’t know their faith so well are also being sucked into the devotion to this unholy “saint”. However, as with all practices not of God, this occult, dark intercession comes with a cost.
Exorcist, Fr Gary Thomas, who was trained in the Vatican, said he encountered people who suffered from demonic trouble after paying tribute to Santa Muerte. He also mentioned that mostly Catholics who regularly attend Mass and frequent the sacraments tend to understand to stay away from such devotions, cultural Catholics, not so well-versed in their faith, may be in danger of spiritual harm from engaging in such demonic devotions, even if doing so innocently or with good intentions.
The irony is that this “demonic saint” poses a total oxymoron in being called “Saint Death”. Perhaps this is a way we know it not to be the Truth. We can find no such saint who has lived for death, but for life. The CCC 954 states that “When the Lord comes in His glory, and all His angels with him, death will be no more and all things will be subject to him. But at the present time, some of his disciples are pilgrims on earth. Others have died and are being purified, while still others are in glory, contemplating in full light God himself triune and one, exactly as he is”. This is what we know as “The Communion of Saints” (http://www.catholic365.com/article/7254/communion-of-saints.html). This proves that Santa Muerte is no saint, but a demon in disguise, and dangerous to all.
Therefore, let us focus on life, that is, life in God, and life with God, not death. It would not make sense to give one’s life over to death, since death is the end, it is devastation, it is hell. So, my dear faithful brothers and sisters in Christ, do not pray to Santa Muerte, but instead choose to pray to the saints who gave their life to the service of God, and whom now live with Him in Heaven, in His glory, and have interceded much for us, without any cost, giving only love.
