Day 310 – The Good Shepherd with ONE Flock
Today’s reading: Romans 12
Today Paul returns to a theme that he often speaks of. He once again expresses the radical unity that is part of being a Catholic.
... so we though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Having gifts that differ according to the grace given us, let us use them….
Notice, we are “members one of another”. Paul doesn’t just state we are one body. He is indicating a greater level of unity than a team or even a military unit. We are so closely related that we are “members one of another.”
Paul then lists the many ways we should care for each other. Paul instructs us on everything from using our talents for their intended purpose, to simple politeness, to forgiving our enemies. Paul lays out how we are to live in many important instances. They are good passages to read over regularly to remind us how to live.
