Find True Relief & Healing from Pain in God
Are you searching for direction? Are you unsure of the next step to take? Do you sense a change or transition but aren’t sure what it is? Welcome to holy ambiguity, a place where those who walk the spiritual journey wait. In this place, God is calling you to greater patience and faith.
In holy ambiguity, we rest in the mysteries of God. Advent is a time that teaches us the blessedness of holy waiting through the example of Mary and the birth of Jesus. His plan and His will for our lives is a mystery with surprises, plot twists, and divine goodness, just like it was for Mary and Jesus.
For some of us, holy ambiguity can be a time of turmoil and restlessness but that’s because our human need for control of our lives takes over. We pray, ask for direction, and discern. We try to figure out the answers. As a result, we can find ourselves more confused and maybe even discouraged in our path.
God does not want us to sit in turmoil while we wait for answers. He wants to give us peace by having us walk with Him in faith.
God didn’t reveal the whole story to Mary all at once. He revealed the steps as they came, and she was given the grace to say “yes” to His holy will even when she didn’t see the entire picture. We too, are called to sit with Mary in holy ambiguity, stay present and alert to God's call, and trust the steps God reveals to us - when He reveals them.
As we approach Advent, come sit in holy ambiguity. You will find it’s a sacred place of surrender, trust, and peace in the promises of God.
