His Refining Fires
Everyday-the majority of people everywhere-get up, get going, and start their day. We all go in different directions. We may be just laborers in the fields, or the factories. We may be teachers, Doctors, parents, lawyers, nurses, police or fire personnel, EMTS, janitors, cooks, servers, the military, farmers, mechanics ---- basically we are just laborers --- in the fields.
I am a teacher now, was a nurse, mother and wife still. Every day though, no matter how well is it going for you and me---at some point we grow weary and tired—and discouraged, wondering is my good ---good enough?
I was feeling that today as I was getting off work. Thank God for that Inner Voice that comes when we seek His help. Starting to drive home---my heart hears His comforting message of love.
“You are in the fields, daily planting seeds. You will stir up the ground, and keep out the weeds. You will go and come daily to work in the fields. This is what I ask of you. You are very important---the need is great. The people are many who count on you to be faithful—keep planting those seeds. This work I ask of you is the more important than you will ever know. Keep planting seeds of love.”
Yes dear people---no matter how simple the task that is done over and over: with a smile and love in our heart—we are making a difference in someone’s life.
We may not be doing a life saving surgery, or life saving heroic act---but we are saving someone’s life—one kind deed at a time. Just our smile or a pat on the back—an encouraging word---what seeds we sow, they will grow. However, like a seed in the ground—we do not see the process at first. We must be patient and believe that seed is growing and will soon be strong enough to push out and push up. We still must be the laborer in the field continuing to care and nourish what was started by the grace of God.
“Thank you God—for always coming with Your Words that help me to continue to mature and grow in Wisdom.”
My spiritual director asked me to write a book ---telling how God speaks to us in everyday— in ordinary ways. I am so thankful He does, for without His help--- well you know, would life be worth living?
“Hi, It’s Me God” is now available by contacting me at Bethana2009@gmail.com, should you want to buy this book or give it as a thoughtful gift to a laborer that you know.
