Do You Have a Heavy Cross to Carry?
This year, truly, the Lord has come into my life and shown me what Christmas is in new ways that have sparked a deeper faith and love in Christ.
God came to me in the manger of the unexpected
God has entered into my life through the death of all I thought was life. Through the surprising losses of what I held dear for years, I found what I held all the more dearer: the love the God and service to his Church and His people through my gifts and talents.
God is with me and hidden in my heartbeat
I’ve experienced that God that is truly with us. He is with us in the best and worst of times, never forsaking us. I know this promise like never before, because I’ve encountered a God who has walked with me through every painful and joyful moment and given me hope in His promises.
For God so loved me, that He sent His only Son
I’ve learned that there is no security other than to be held in the loving hands of God each and every day. No person or material thing can hold you like Your Father. He so loved me and so loved you that He sent His only Son so that we can have eternal life.
Daughters and sons of Christ, so this is Christmas: Knowing, loving, and rejoicing in the God who is always with us, always holding us in His love, and always coming to us in the unexpected to point the way to true life.
Merry Christmas!
