Herbs for Pregnancy and Postpartum -- a learning opportunity!

Hi, It has been awhile since I posted on Catholic 365...so I hope you enjoy reading about Herbs for Pregnancy and Postpartum.

I decided to write up a course on herbs for pregnancy and postpartum and make it into an online course for anyone especially mothers and doulas who might like to learn more about this.

In the course, I plan to cover conception/fertility herbs as our first module topic. We really do not think about fertility as much as we should. Good nutrition and using proper herbs can help achieve pregnancy when other methods have failed. So, it is good idea to look into this.

Our next modules will cover pregnancy herbs (Part A, B, C). We will cover induction herbs in the last part of this--remember never to use herbs without permission from midwife or doctor when pregnant especially for inductions!

We also cover a How-to-Make herbs into various things such as an infusion usually your first step before doing anything else! You will have videos showing you how to make lip balm to salves! 

You are required to do one herbal project for your continuing education unit certificate. You can choose to receive this certificate from 2 different doula course programs -- either Heartbeat Doula Network (a new doula network located at www.heartbeatdoula.com ) or Catholic Doula Program at www.catholicdoula.com You wll receive 6 CEUs for doing the course. 

The final 2 modules will cover postpartum herbs and such. You can opt-in to do the skills assignments, which means buying herbs for some postpartum herbal recipes, or you can choose to skip if so desired. We want to make this course easy for you to do. One ounce of herbs is all you really need for the herbal project!
