That's Not GOD, That's a Periodic Table!!

Are you sure about the Periodic Table? Before you think that this author is ‘bonkers’ take a deep breath and read on to the end.

Recently, I was asked to have a panel on our podcast radio show“It's Me, God.” The panel is connected with Loyola Marymount University that will be hosting an interfaith conference on Water as part of this year's Parliament of Worlds Religions (main event in Salt Lake City in October). For my part, I was to give my reflections on how water is connected to our spirituality.

Water and spirituality---immediately the Holy Spirit’s words---“Go back to the beginning” entered my heart. (Genesis 1 verse 1-3) Now last year during Mass, God had already opened my eyes to the fact ‘in the Beginning’ ELEMENTS were already present when God created the heavens and the earth.

“In the beginning, when God created the heavens and the earth, the earth was a formless wasteland, and the darkness covered the abyss, while a mighty wind swept over the waters.” (from the New American Bible)

Now symbol of Holy Spirit is mighty wind, and Jesus is referred to as living waters. So, where is the Father or Creator of all represented?

The Formless or no form wasteland or what appears to be a vast space of barren land and the darkness—could this be what space and all that is in it look like? A deep dark abyss? For, as of yet, the sun had not been ‘birthed’ until the voice ("roaring winds over water "describes God’s voice in Psalms) speaks "Let their be Light" and BANG the fourth element of life was created from elements contained in the One “Supreme Being who has no form,” the Creator Father of all. Can it be that God took from all that is within Himself the perfect combinations of elements to create all that is on our earth and in the universe, literally giving life from within Himself? This makes perfect sense to me.

Think of your body as a universe within itself. Realize all the elements that are within you and this should help you to understand why I believe those first three lines in Genesis are giving us a description of God. He is all Present, (Psalm 139 confirms this) all knowing, all loving and has been from all time—found in the formless combination of All that IS!!

What is your name Moses asked? His reply I AM Who I AM. What ever is—He is.

“Let us make man in Our Image.” Please go google the elements found in the human body. Also see what elements are in the sun, the water, earth, and air. Within all of creation is found common elements, but with different proportions and some added elements... ALL of creation! All of creation found on this earth was given a unique DNA or design that makes it what it is and this DNA keeps creating the same plant, insect, tree, bird, animal, whatever---over and over again. But each is uniquely different. WOW—please tell me how that intellingent mankind thinks a Big Bang was reponsible for such detail in all of the whole universe!! No-- in the Beginning was God---always has been, and the PROOF is all ELEMENTARY and backed by scientific research.

Now you know what our God looks like! If someone should challenge you and ask—“have you ever seen or touched God?” You can now tell them with all confidence—“Yes, we are fully and wonderfully made in God's image and likeness and I am looking at Him now, and touching Him too—through YOU!
