Some Biblical thoughts on Mary's Immaculate Conception
Mary as Queen of Heaven is a very Biblical teaching. Remember, under Jewish law, it was the King's mother who was the Queen of the kingdom, not his wife, because while a king could have many wives (Solomon have several hundred)--he only had one mother.
I don't think we need to go into all the Gospel accounts that show that Mary gave birth to Jesus, we'll leave that as a given.
The Bible does show her in Heaven reigning as Queen.
Revelation 12:1 A great portent appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. 2 She was pregnant and was crying out in birth pangs, in the agony of giving birth....5 And she gave birth to a son, a male child, who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron.
Jesus is the one to rule with the rod of Iron, so this woman in Heaven wearing a crown is obviously Mary.
The Old Testament shows that the Queen is the King's mother, and her role is one of intercession for the people of the kingdom:
2 Kings 2:19 So Bathsheba went to King Solomon, to speak to him on behalf of Adonijah. The king rose to meet her, and bowed down to her; then he sat on his throne, and had a throne brought for the king’s mother, and she sat on his right. 20 Then she said, “I have one small request to make of you; do not refuse me.”
As with The Church as the New Davidic Kingdom, we have our King Jesus ruling in Heaven, with Mary the Queen mother sitting at His side interceeding on behalf of the faithful.
