Beatific Mission

If you haven't yet encountered a Mission worth your every penny, every resource, every talent, every breath-- you're living a half-life. No provision will relieve your greatest poverty. No rising ladder will take you higher. No recreation will re-create.

In absence of a life-defining Mission that drives our deepest desires, thoughts and actions-- we may be breathing oxygen, but our inmost spirits will be variantly gasping for air. Strong one moment, sputtering the next.

We've been purposefully appointed and anointed for a Mission. I think we all know this, but we're confronted with the truth: to be engaged is risky. It's dangerous. It is not safe. Resist as we may, the Voice is persistent. Relentless. In fact, most of our lives are spent trying to suppress His Voice.

Our lives shouldn't be defined by ceaseless, labored energy resisting His Voice, but by the joy, ease, peace and power of simple surrender.

As we pine for the meaning of existence, as we move from experience to experience, this one truth defines all others: His Voice is the supernatural life-blood flowing through our veins. We either allow it, or we clot. And too many of us exhibit the signs of supernatural clotting. The onset of supernatural cardiac arrest.

He wants to awaken us. Revitalize us. It can not happen "kind of." Our response can not be a controlled "kind of." Look at the state of individual lives. Marriages. Families. Our communities. Our world. Awareness of this is our summons... to dramatically and permanently free-fall into His Hands through which He will alter the shape of individual lives, families, communities, culture, and history.

Imagine that. This is not simply some creative, new, exciting idea. It is not simply some fleeting, organizational thing. It is a heartfelt response to a God who wants His Kingdom to come. IT is an earnest desire to be part of God's proclamation to the world. Say yes.
