"So, This Is Heaven" - continued
Today: I was dealing with minor health issues, starting to become anxious! Oh no, am I having some problems again? How quickly negativity can ESCALATE if we let it. Oh yes it can!
God ever faithful, steps into my mind, and I was led to "GET INTO MY WORD, like you KNOW you should. "
When I opened the Bible and there before my eyes was Proverbs 3.
Confidence in God Leads to Prosperity*
1 My son, do not forget* my teaching, take to heart my commands;
2 For many days, and years of life, and peace, will they bring you.
3 Do not let love and fidelity forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart.
4 Then will you win favor and esteem before God and human beings.
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, on your own intelligence do not rely; (stinking thinking i.e.)
6 In all your ways be mindful of him, and he will make straight your paths.
7 Do not be wise in your own eyes, fear the LORD and turn away from evil;
8 This will mean health for your flesh and vigor for your bones.
Then, I flipped more pages, and they fell open to Sirach Chapter 2.
Trust in God
1 My child, when you come to serve the Lord,* prepare yourself for trials.
2 Be sincere of heart and steadfast, and do not be impetuous in time of adversity.
3 Cling to him, do not leave him, that you may prosper in your last days.
4 Accept whatever happens to you; in periods of humiliation be patient.
5 For in fire gold is tested, and the chosen, in the crucible of humiliation.
6 Trust in God, and he will help you; make your ways straight and hope in him.
7 You that fear the Lord, wait for his mercy, do not stray lest you fall.
8 You that fear the Lord, trust in him, and your reward will not be lost.
9 You that fear the Lord, hope for good things, for lasting joy and mercy.
Bang, right on the nail, or is the expression "Mic drop" today! Do not tell me that God does not speak to us through the Bible. Do not tell me that He does not care, or know our thoughts---He was right there for me as I became anxious and let 'stinking thinking' in again.
So, doing as I was taught---I prayed--speaking to that spirit of anxiety and worry to be loosened, bound and rebuked and cast away from me. Then, taking deep breaths, I breathed Jesus' Peace and healing into my spirit.
He also reminded me to remember to pray for all dealing with some type of illness and anxiety too and to turn to thinking of others --not myself. All this worked and brought me back to the path that follows Jesus, not the 'selfie' path. Remember 'do not stray, lest you fall.'
The most important thing to remember in our trials--- Sirach's reading tells us ----WE ARE GOLD AND WE ARE CHOSEN-worthy of God's graces, mercy and love!! Thank you dearest Lord for always being with us. ALWAYS!
We are soooo BLEST!
