Who Is My Enemy?
Recently I became very aware of a "problem" within our Church. We have some traditionalist Catholics who strongly believe that Vatican II was not good, and that Pope Francis is not the Pope. Oh dear! More troubling to me was they are being very public about these beliefs.
I had joined a "Catholic" group on Facebook that I had hoped would allow me to share my dreams, and messages given by God over the years. I quickly found that due to what they thought Mary spoke of in the secrets of Fatima ---they had come to believe ---that, as one person put it ---"Pope Francis is the anti-christ." Ouch!
When telling her of my concerns, the woman in charge of the Page nicely explained to me that she did not share that belief, was praying for him---but did believe that Pope Francis was NOT the real pope! She and many others deeply believe that Benedict is still the Pope. All this coming from what they thought Our Lady of Fatima meant when she spoke of things to come in the future.
This woman finished her explanation with the remark. "Let us pray for the Pope, and let us agree to disagree. This is a nice thought---BUT can we do choose one way or another and let it be. I for one, felt that I had to 'unfollow' where that path was going.
Pope Francis, it seems, has become another victim of how the media is taking his words and adding their own thoughts and explanation of that they THINK the Pope is implying. So we must be very careful what we are reading. I encourage all to see the documentary--"Pope Francis-In His Own Words." You will see and hear what I saw---a truly wise, anointed, compassionate and great man of God.
As for myself---this was the second time in two days that I was disturbed and confused about the strong differences that are held by some of the traditionalist Catholics and the Post Vatican II Catholics. So, I knew God was leading me to "awareness of trouble in His Church," and to pray about it.
When troubled, your heart is not at peace-- and you have questions---you go to the source of all WISDOM and KNOWLEDGE and ask God to show you what to truly believe.
I did that and immediately into my mind came that passage we are all very familiar with. "A House/Church divided cannoth stand"
Because the days are becoming darker---and our Catholic Faith needs to be that shining BEACON to give hope in this world--I KNOW that we are not to be divided in any way with matters of faith.
I also know just "who" would want us to be divided ----and it would be his greatest desire to destroy the Church that was built on the ROCK. Our one true foundation is Jesus Christ the Lord!!! Hear His Words and please reflect on them and see if they have any connection with what is happening right now in the Body of Christ. I know I do not want to be a part of anything that would try to divide our Catholic faith and destroy it. Therefore, I end with "May the Peace of the Lord be with you and may you ask for and recieve the Holy Spirit of God so His Wisdom, Knowledge, Understanding and Discernment can be given to you.
From Matthew 12:23
* l All the crowd was astounded, and said, “Could this perhaps be the Son of David?”
24 But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, “This man drives out demons only by the power of Beelzebul, the prince of demons.”
25 But he knew what they were thinking and said to them,* “Every kingdom divided against itself will be laid waste, and no town or house divided against itself will stand.
26 And if Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself; how, then, will his kingdom stand?
27 And if I drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your own people* drive them out? Therefore they will be your judges.
28 But if it is by the Spirit of God that I drive out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.
29 How can anyone enter a strong man’s house and steal his property, unless he first ties up the strong man? Then he can plunder his house.
30 Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.
31 Therefore, I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven people, but blasphemy against the Spirit* will not be forgiven.
32 And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.
And yes, after sharing these thoughts with the group---I quickly did "unfollow" them.
