Forgiveness Is A Decision
We make the sign of the cross,
We eat no meat on Friday,
Following alone the traditions of man,
We nullify the true word of God.
Void of love, respect, commitment,
We live a life of blind guides, a mockery,
Unless our hearts are open wide, we
Have no relationship with our Redeemer, Christ.
We, who are the objects of His love-
Love as sure as a father toward his offspring;
Love as consuming as burning fire to wood;
Love who yearns for our love too!
To love Christ is to have unity with Him.
Unity in relationship, given by grace;
Maintained by constant desire of our will,
Reinforced by eating His Bread of Life.
Fidelity to promises made at baptism,
Behaving toward others as He asks,
Being “doers of the word,” not actors, are
Ways of remaking oneself into the image of Christ.
A constant struggle it is until our final moments;
Time then it is to see the face of Christ-
Loving soul joined at last with Father, Son, and Spirit;
Following God’s will into our new life eternal.
