Debbie Womack, OFS, lives in the Diocese of St. Augustine, FL, the city that first welcomed Christianity to the U.S. It is the first city and site of the first parish, the first shrine to Our Lady and the site of the first Mass on U.S. soil.
She was commissioned as a lay minister in the Archdiocese of Louisville in 1994. While running a Marian center and non-profit Catholic bookstore, she organized Marian pilgrimages and humanitarian aid to Bosnia during the war. Debbie has led retreats and prayer groups as well as forming MMP Cenacles of prayer for priests throughout the tri-state area and now in St Augustine. She worked at WLCR, a Catholic radio station, before accepting a job at Franciscan University of Steubenville, where she worked and received a degree in Business Administration.
Debbie currently works at a university and enjoys spending time with her children and seven grandchildren.
