I am a life-long Catholic, born and raised in the Church, the ninth of ten children. I enjoyed twelve years of Catholic education in a parochial grade school and a college-prep high school. I spent four years as a Dominican friar, before moving to Texas where I met my wife at the University of Saint Thomas in Houston, and eventually earned by doctorate in Thomistic philosophy. Since 1996, I have produced the Thomistic Philosophy Page, a resource for students, journalists and writers on the thought of Saint Thomas Aquinas.
I served the local church in higher education and campus ministry for over twenty years, until deciding to pursue writing full-time. The philosophical and theological insights of Saint Thomas have provided me with much personal and spiritual clarity and solace, and I hope to share these, among other things, with readers.
