I'm Nathan Barontini, author of the "all things Catholic" blog AdoroErgoSum (yes, that's supposed to be a funny play on Descartes famous dictum). I have a wonderful wife who married me despite my then firm irreligion and who launched my journey from the depths of indifference to the very face of God. That journey was helped along the way by quite a lot of reading (everything from Plato to Augustine to Dante to Benedict XVI) and by a very kind and helpful parish priest who took the time to meet me weekly for coffee and theological chit chat. I have three wonderful kids (whose faith is a constant reminder of Christ's command to have the faith of a child) who I spend as much time with as possible. I'm currently writing my first book (which details my conversion, following the advice of Paul VI in Evangelii Nuntiandi) in addition to spreading the Catholic Faith online and in person. Any free time I have is spent reading or watching baseball (let's go Pirates!). Above all, I seek to become a saint, realizing the only way to ultimately fail in life is to not become who God wanted us to be when He first formed us or as Léon Bloy more eloquently put it, "the only real sadness, the only real failure, the only great tragedy in life, is not to become a saint." I hope my writings can inspire others to strive for holiness in their lives. There is no greater adventure!
